I guess I don't understand what recallers is. I thought it was a community of people following Susan's dog recalling games for training. But when I went to join so I could read and follow the community, the only option was to register for notification if recallers started again. Of course the worry that gave me is that I would not be able to join or use the games if Susan has just moved on or has no ability to do "it" again, whatever "it" is since it must be more than to follow what's online already. So can someone explain what recallers is and why it is a thing that exists at one moment in time and not in other moments or periods?

This is so difficult with my minipincher 😢, she is 3 y.o. and she hates it, frustrated. She refuses any treat,even if she adores some.😞every time is a nightmare to cut her nails.

Trying to train my 5 year old Male Australian Shepherd, Australian Cattle Dog, Beagle mix rescue .... so scared of everything still ... it's been 6 months so far ..

After just a couple of days in Recallers, and working a LOT with my dog, I can highly recommend and here’s why…instead of waking up to her kiss and then, let’s go let’s go let’s go feed me feed me…I get a kiss and a calmer very curious dog looking at me. She’s waiting calmly. What’s next? What will we do today? I love this! Those are the things she’s telling me now, and that’s after only a few days. Her engaging directly with me on a more meaningful level is worth everything. This is a terrier mix who use to be aloof, easily scared and a dog who can’t stand bark box. I love the boxes; my dog does not. Now she’s curious about the world and all I am teaching her. Wonderful experience! Recallers is also teaching me. Not only is my dog more connected to me, but I’m more bonded with her. My dog is a loving little soul who just needed and needs guidance. I’m looking forward to the weeks and months ahead.

Biting…. Our year old Westie Has sent me to emergency. On blood thinners so this isn’t good. Everyone tells me I need to train more . My hubby has done most of the training and he’s “Jackson”, shadowing my husband. I need new tricks for Jackson! Thank you! Lynn

12 years later, watching 12 WEEK old Swagger - what a joy and love he is! Having just seen him play with puppy Prophet, this was so fun to see today.

Where can I find a recording of this instrumental theme to play for my 7 month old puppy who loves to fall to sleep listening to the melody I restart over and over to allow her peaceful slumber. I would love the sheet music also as I would love and enjoy playing this peice when she is anxious. Would you please discuss this on a future podcast if it is not offensive to your video here to offer it to your members to have. The music touches her spirit and my soul.

My Samoyed pup just turned a year old. I would love to reward him by playing tug, however, I have tried with several different tug toys, and he just doesn't tug with me. For fetch, I can't interest him in chasing the ball. So far, the closest I get is tossing him a soft kind of pom pom ball, or soft hedgehog toy. He catches these in his mouth, and I happily say "Yay!" and reward him with a treat. But he doesn't chase to get things, and doesn't tug. Yet I know he has strong prey instincts, because he certainly is interested in chasing cats, squirrels and rabbits.

My trainer showed me this today after class. I can not get my dog motivated to get off the start only at a trial. She is a BC 5yrs old and I am almost ready to give up . I am going to try this and see what happens.

Its been a while since the last comment yet I want to say I agree so much with Teeya...Susan you ARE an inspiration and I love this video. It caught me at a perfect time where I am finding myself in a later chapter in my life but yet this chapter is bringing me to being very passionate and serious about professional dog training. It’s so nice to see the old puppy peaks and to be reminded that we all start in the same place.

Love the video. I am just getting my rescue dog started in agility with a local trainer. She is a Kelpie/Cattle Dog Mix, 3 years old. When I got her about a year ago she suffered from severe fear aggression after being attacked multiple times by another dog in her former home. After about 8 months with me she finally was able to go to an off leash dog park and play with other dogs. And she knew all basic commands. She learned to get along well with my 3 cats, and thinks of them as her little" flock". I noticed how much she likes to run and learn new tricks. She always pays attention and works very hard. I thought agility might be good for her physically and mentally but also to help her be more comfortable around other dogs. Her leash reactivity is still a bit of a problem but it's getting much better since we started agility. I don't care if she ever wins a ribbon or trophy. The look of sheer joy and happiness on her adorable face is our reward.
